Mid-week treat - I.T. don’t care

I predict that within 100 years computers will be twice as powerful, 10,000 times larger, and so expensive that only the five richest kings of Europe will own them.

Professor Frink, The Simpsons

My first computer was a Sinclair zx Spectrum. A massive 48k of memory. My current machine has a mere 512MB of memory. That’s about 11000 times more. Does this make me 11000 times happier or 11000 times more productive?

Interesting thought, yes computers are getting faster but humans can only go at a certain speed and you can be just as productive on some old machines as you can on new ones. Interesting.
