Mathletics doping scandal
Some research suggests that smart people cheat more frequently than not so smart people.
I do like the idea of doping tests at scrabble championships and spelling bees…
Mathletes – must be one of my favourite geeky terms.

Regarding “smart people cheat more frequently,” it’s because smart people have more opportunities. Smart people take advantage of their opportunities, dumb people don’t. It’s elementary, dear Watson.
That’s that “work smart, not hard” thing. I for one never cheated, but that’s because I could make everyone else in class look stupid without putting forth any effort whatsoever. Also I never really cared enough about my grades to want to cheat.
I love the idea of a pill like this……..
I never got a chance to cheat. Everyone around me got worse grades. By the time I was in third grade, I realized that the only way me or anyone in my class were to get good grades, I’d have to be the one to know the answers, so there was someone to cheat off.
I got caught cheating once. It was our final drafting exam for civil engineering. I just copied and pasted another guys entire drawing. The lecturer didn’t mind, one cos it showed iniative and 2 cos I had spent most of my class time teaching his students how to draw basic isometric drawings cos he totally skipped over the basics.
Research has shown that kids who lie more are probably smarter than ones that don’t. Reason being is that they understand that what they say is truth doesn’t need to be truth. A concept that most ppl take along to even begin to realise.
Smart people cheat more ’cause you have to be smart to bend/break the rules… and not get caught. Smart, or really lucky.
