Feeling a little tense today/yesterday/tomorrow
They say that don’t they, that the future is in your hands, yet every time I look and check, I just find a pen.

If the future is a pen, that doesn’t necessarily mean a bad thing.
That’s true, I was being a little flippant there…
I think that as far as the future is concerned, there is no good or bad, it just ‘is’.
You can try and predict it, you can even try and change it, but you must not ever forget that there is always a future, whether you are in it or not.
the pen is a sign that you design your own future, i think.
Y’know, I think there might be something in that.
Thinking people are reading too much into the pen comment … it made me laugh out loud, then I moved on. Life is simpler that way.

hey, i agree as well! isnt this just nice. i was in an overthinking kind of mood at the time. but hey, you do design your own future, right? at least, to a degree. i like to think that way anyway, even if, in the back of my brain, theres a voice telling me the world doesnt work like that. itll be time to listen to that voice when im not 16 anymore. ive got to have something to believe in, right?
As far as I remember, The great thing about being 16 (a there’s a lot of things that aren’t that great) is that at the very least, you’ve still got time to find something to believe in.
Better the pen then the sword.
Well you know a sword isnt that bad either. If you think about, it it could stand for you fighting for what you beleive in, or it could mean sometihng else.
I dont think the future is in your hands as such, I mean if you were driving along and a car came out of nowhere and smashed into you, if the future were in your hands would you allow it to happen, i think the present is in your hands, you could swerve.
