ID rather not
I dislike the idea of compoulsory ID cards for several reasons… but the main reason is that I think they’ll just be another panacea project that will cost a lot of money and will fail to do anything of any real use.
For those of you in the UK (or if ou’re just curious) that would like to know a bit more about ID cards, and everything that goes with it, visit NO2ID.com.
Another reason I don’t like them is that I prefer not to carry awful photographs of myself around with me… the idea just creeps me out.

Actually its not just over there, they are trying to institute something like a nationalized ID card over here in the US too with an electronic strip on the back of it and I don’t see that getting anywhere over here either and if it does well I guess I will just have to miss getting mine because they don’t need to keep track of everyone and/or put all sorts of information on it because they want to.
It’s strange, isn’t it that during this supposed war on terror, it is innocent people that are having their liberties curtailed?
There used to be a time when 1984 was a cautionary tale about the future, whereas now it seems to be an established blueprint for where we are heading.
The outcome being that whilst I have commited no crime, I could get arrested for refusing to carry an ID card, in essence, bringing in ID cards will make me a criminal.
I don’t mind the ID card. I often forget my name (seriously), but I actually think that they will be a good thing.
Ofcourse, any decent criminal will just carry a fake one around.
Not to mention the problems they cause for trans people.
