I get asked ‘why don’t you use colour in you comics’ quite a bit…
So, there’s my answer, in black and white for everyone to see.

No gray areas.
We’ve just been discussing personality disorders – seeing things in black and white for type A personailty. My husband sees things only in white – and don’t ask why – me I see things mostly in grey – I’m not sure what that makes me – but hey I’m happy anyway and I think your drawings in black and white allows everyone to put their own colours into them.
yay golfwidow! good call!
So… what I gather… is you don’t know how to color-coordinate or dress yourself.
No, the only grey areas I have are the two hairs I found in my beard this week… and I plucked them out straight away.
I did a personality test once, apparently I’m ‘borderline personality disorder’ if anything… I figure the borderline must be the one between the black and the white bits.
…and Seraphine, whilst colour-cordination isn’t my strong point, I do frequently dress myself.
Adam-you have a beard?! wow….
and as for the comic..whenever i try and think about colours, clothes come to mind. mainly the wrong ones…you ever had that? you buy clothes you like, and in the eyes of everyone you know, they’re “the wrong clothes”.
colour…it’s an interesting topic. one colour can change an entire person…dye my hair black, and apparently i would look fat and pale. leave it gingery-blonde, i’m fat and freckly. yes. my friends love me so much.
and as for personality disorders…i’ve never entirely understood what one is…would anyone care to explain to me?
don’t hate me-i’m allowed to be stupid. i’m young.

My beard comes and goes… I like the idea of a beard, then I grow one and the harsh reality sets in… food getting caught, friction burns etc. so I get rid of it. It’s a never ending cycle.
You might be young, but you’re far from stupid. Asking questions is the only sign of intelligence that I trust. So, personality disorders:
The theory is that in many ways, we all have patterns of behaviour that are, well, a bit crazy. Whatever type of crazy you have puts you into a category of disorder.
Personally, I just think that everyone is different, and that to try and figure out what is ‘normal behaviour’ is a fool’s errand. Still, it’s quite fun to find out what sort of disorder you are closest to.
Here’s a reasonable test you might like to take, but don’t take it too seriously.
If i cold grow a beard, i wouldn’t.
*reads* ok, that is me once again sounding stupid. that comment has to rank with “I’d make a great husband but I’m supposed to be a woman”.
Thank you for the explanation. i will indeed take the test. and don’t worry, i didn’t take my gcse seriously, so i doubt i will with this
*could.
Paranoid: Low
Schizoid: Low
Schizotypal: Moderate
Antisocial: Low
Borderline: Low
Histrionic: Moderate
Narcissistic: Low
Avoidant: Moderate
Dependent: Moderate
Obsessive-Compulsive: Moderate.
That’s what i got in that test. I don’t even know what half of them are! but i find the last one amusing and quite accurate.
anyone know what Schizotypal and Histrionic?
hmm. would it be possible to be both dependant and avoident? or am i being daft and not understanding properly?
It’s amusing to me. it really is.
