A happy ending
Sometimes when I draw these strips I have no idea where I’m going with them until I’m nearly finished… Quite a few times there have been alternate endings and different routes.
This one for example is the alternate version of Revolution/Revelations and the pair of them will bookend the next book, The Flowfield Singularity.
The theme of my next book being, from the title and the strips I’ve been drawing lately are all about ‘the end’, not necessarily the end of everything, but the end of somethings.
It also adheres to the humanist holy trinity of biology, technology and industry… three interlinked, inseperable but also antagonistic forces that shape our experience of the world.
As I see it, those three are very similar to the traditional holy trinity – Essentially they are all manifestations of the same thing and neither of them can exist without the others (as far as humans are concerned at any rate).
Just thought you’d like to know that.

I interpret the holy trinity as “body mind and soul”.
Thankfully I can do that cos I’m not a religious type.
I have never heard of your interpretation before, it is interesting, I shall ponder it some more.
Stephen Baxters book “Evolution” deals in some parts with earth sans humans in the future, it is an interesting concept, one that oddly fills me with hope.
But without humans there would be no professional wrestling, and how could anyone live in a world like that?
Hi Adam!
The Flowfield Unity is excellent place!
I lke this black and white. Perfect!
This post associates with Biblical Apoclypse.
Thanks for your visit. Good luck to you!
Just had a look at Stephen Baxter… I haven’t heard of him before, looks like it should be worth a read. Not one for the Utopian future then?
There is a future whether we are in it or not.
I think possibly not, though preove me wrong people.
I have made provisions for the professional wrestling conundrum… There are currently several troops of Bonobos, trained and spandexed, awaiting the fall of mankind just so that they can start their own league.
Baxters Evolution is a strange book, it sits on the fence between science and sci-fi. Unfortuently, I think alot of the “facts” in the book are made up.
But the future depicted is very interesting, it involves not the extinction of humanity, but the de-evolution of the species.
Pro wrestling chimps? Okay then, go ahead with the extinction of the human race.
Checklist:
1. Sort out monkey wrestling – Done
2. Check with Mr J. Hewitt – Done

Cool, we’re good to go.
