Manufactured from start to finish

It seems to me that there is a high tolerance for fault when manufacturing a pop band…

…sorry, they’re called ‘acts’ now aren’t they? As if the members of such a band can’t even be made to take their role seriously.

Perhaps all the in-fighting and squabling is all part of the act too though.

And perhaps these stars are made intentionally with a limited lifespan.

And maybe, just maybe, if you ignore them for long enough they’ll crawl away to die somewhere secluded.

You’re saying that pop bands are manufactured? Does this mean that I will have to throw out my Pepsi Max Hits cd’s? My Pussycat Dolls cd’s? My Video Hits cd’s? That will be my entire collection, gone.

I’m saying that the ones that are are pretty shoddily made. There’s no need to throw away such CDs, left to their own devices they will dissolve in a gaseous cloud of negative melody.

ah, but if your cd collection consisted of quality artists like britney spears and mariah carey you wouldnt have to clean it out, because they are not manufactured bands. a solution, no?

So you are saying genetic mutants can’t be honest?
Britney’s ‘I’m not that innocent’ comes to mind as being honest.
    It’s the follow-through (self-awareness) that’s lacking, however.
When’s the next CD- ‘I’m stupid’ coming out?
    Isn’t that part of a 12-step program?

The reason they’re not bands is that they don’t play instruments. I have been maintaining this theory since New Kids on the Block.

As far as I’m aware, in Britney’s case it was reduced to a three-step programme, just so that she could remember it.

As for the New Kids, my punishment for troublesome countries would be to impose ‘hanging tough’ as their national anthem.
