It’s more complex than that
Today’s strip was suggested by The Great Joe Bivins.
Thanks Joe, do you know how hard it was to make something even vaguely funny out of emergent complexity in biological systems?
I suspect you do.
…and that’s why I’m glad you’re part of The Flowfield Unity, you’re able to do the whole high-brow/low-brow thing at the same time and you’ve always got something interesting to say.

The first thing I do when I get up is pee,
hopefully not on my toothbrush.
~Sera (“the whole low-brow thing”)
One thing to say: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh no. it’s finally happened. my brain is going backwards in intelligence..
.
i’m sorry, but i really don’t get this joke..i know i probably should, but i don’t
and the first thing i do in the morning is fall off my bunk bed.
Hooray! Emergence will now forever be remembered as the opposite of brushing your teeth!
I wouldn’t worry too much about it Maddie… You probably have to be more of a nerd than most people like to be to get this one. That, or have spent some time taking university classes in biology and system’s theory. This link might help, a bit, maybe.

I’m also a first-thing go-to-the-bathroom-quick-before-there’s-a-puddler. Which is sort of emergency emergence.
Also, if there are a whole bunch of us, we’re not only engaging in emergent behavior (flocking instinctively toward plumbing), but we’re …
…
… peers.
Haha
