The repetetive nature of advancing technology

The repetetive nature of advancing technology

Today’s comic sponsored by Seraphine, who had asked for a word game.

It’s a circular sentance… a bit like a circular saw but less effective at cutting wood.

And this is the bit where I tie it all together – You see I was thinking about what Seraphine does… and by that I mean that she makes things using technology; a webcomic, a life in a virtual world involving fashion shows and English pubs (that’s great that is).

And that the computers used to create those things were also made using other things that we’ve made and so on.

Though don’t listen to me, I’m still drawing comics using pens, if you really want an opinion about technology I think you should talk my friend Seraphine.

I once invented an imaginary company whose motto was “We Make Things.” No one ever found it as funny as I did, though.

Remember the fun you used to have as a kid typing
    10 PRINT “HELLO”
    20 GOTO 10
Ah, the innocent joys of a bygone age… Kids these days, with their inter-nets and their ANSI C++ GUI IDEs. Bah.

Since this is request week, I have a question for Seraphine: Do you know anyone who’d be willing to help make some character models for a freeware computer game? The models don’t have to be very detailed, but do have a number of odd requirements (only four colors can be used, and they should look good at 40 pixels tall). This being a free project, I can’t offer much except publicity and maybe a box of anime memorabilia from Korea. I would have sent the request by email but couldn’t find an email link on EncoreSeraphine.

Sorry for the spam. Let us now return to bad puns and random philosophizing.

It reminds me of that illusion on some cars where, at a certain speed, the wheels appear to be moving backward. Love it and am always fascinated when I see it.

It’s a cool word game! I kick backwards, catching on the words, like… um… the stuttering teeth of a circular saw. Thank you!!!

Joseph> I’m soo bad at making images that don’t come from my camera. I can’t draw worth shite. Seriously. South Park is better drawn than anything I could make.

    GW> Hugs!

I did a piece of art based on Tool’s “life feeds lies feeds on life” thingy from a song of thiers.
It was really aggressive and I finished the last few lines in what appeared to be clotted blood. I liked it.

In a test I did last week, we had a cartoon and the words were “We go to work. To buy the food. To make us Strong. So that we can go to work.”

When I grow up I’m going to invent a robot maker that makes bigger robot makers.
