A little on edge

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, The Flowfield Unity will be moving to a new host next Monday.

I like to think of it as moving to new house.

I’ll let you know the new address on Sunday… I hope you’ll come on over and break things in with me.

Rss feeds, comments and posts will remain intact (including all your previous comments).

Change is nothing to fear.

Change is good.

Now’s the time to request any changes you’d like to see at the new Flowfield Unity website as I’m tinkering away behind the scenes.

Your opinions matter.

    Just kidding.

As long as http://www.flowfieldunity.com can be redirected to the new hosting, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. You can count on me to come over and break things on Sunday!

Is you moving cos we make traffic???

Traffic! *This is me playing in traffic, just like we used to when we were young and insane!*

How about those threaded comments? I kinda liked that idea.

Don’t be nervous, we’re all with you!

Yup, flowfieldunity.com will be re-directed, though the new site will acually be called… wait, I said Sunday for that didn’t I… you’ll have ot wait on, but I can tell you it is a very similar name.

Franzy, I’ve been tepted to use colour, just once in one strip and maybe some day I will, but not any time soon.

Threaded comments… I think I’ll give it a whirl, the discussions on these pages are getting more involved and diverse and I’m really enjoying stepping back a little and listening to you all talk to each other.

Traffic has played a small part in this, as well as the urge to take control a little bit more over what I do, but there is a stranger reason than that for the move, and one day I’ll tell you all about it in a funny post entitled ‘What happened to you?’.

    I’m looking forward to having
    a proper smash-up party to
    celebrate your new host. :)

So much mystery. Best be a good story when it’s all over. *wink*

It’s odd, and could only ever happen due to technology… it suits the thematics of the site… but my hands are tied right now as to what I can tell you.

Not literally tied. That would mean that I’m typing with my forehead, and that just isn’t the case.

Not really… you could use your nose.

That’d be mad skill if you could type with your forehead. I’d be impressed. Not that I’m not already…

You could use your tongue, dictate to that lovely partner of yours (hi Ms Em), use your toes.
I find forehead typing to be restrictive in alloqing my true meanings to get true.

Some people with no hands learn to use their toes, but it does take practice.

There’s a Psyc prof at the university here who only has one fully formed limb, his right leg. He gets by with a prosthetic on the left so he can walk, and he just has no arms at all. I’ve seen him lecture (though I’ve never had his class), and he uses electronic slideshows and all the modern trappings, typing out notes as he goes, with the laptop on the floor, using his toes. He manages to use his one foot, and his chin/shoulder, to pick up, move, and do whatever the heck else he needs. Watching that man is an exercise in craziness. It’s fascinating.

Oh! And if you ever get the chance, find the old Kung Fu movie Crippled Masters.

i type with my toes on occassion, when i cannot be bothered to sit up at my laptop in bed and type with my hands. it takes a little practice, but you’d be surprised joe.

Now, am i allowed to use this breaking in as an excuse to break stuff and just say i got confused?
    i think so!
