‘Dough

If it’s good enough for the Emperor of Qin, then it’s good enough for me.

I’m currently constructing my own inanimate army to guard me in the afterlife… Except my terracotta skills are rubbish.

So, it was a direct comparison between playdough and blu-tak – blu-tak being more sturdy, and giving my soldiers a bit more facial definition versus the vibrant colour range and just-in-case edibility of play dough.

I don’t want to be hungry in the afterlife, after all.

    Hahaahahaha! Simpson’s reference, in a strip about ancient China. Wow. My mind is blown.

    have you ever made peanut butter play-dough? My fiancee tells me her mom used to make it for her as a kid, then she’d play with it for a few hours, and eat it all. The recipe: take some (as much as you like, but start smaller than you think) creamy peanut butter, preferably over processed to hell, and add confectioner’s sugar until it has the consistency of play-dough. I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds like a great thing to take to the after life.

      I’ve never heard of that, I’m presuming smooth rather than chunky… mmm, peanut army.

    Blu-tak is edible, I think. I wish I had a little sister to test this out on.

        “. . .

        Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
        In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.
        Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
        But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door -
        Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door -
        Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

        . . .”

    All of the soldiers are different. As in, they have different faces. They’re also all facing the same direction. I think it was East? Maybe? I don’t remember.
