War is good for some things, like developing the economy of certain nations, making war heroes, making stories that can later be made into movies.
It is also good for reducing the number of available breeding males, or at least the fit, healthy and smart ones.

This is the funniest one in a long time. What do monsters do to curb their boredom?

Thanks Joe, I’m glad you like it.

What do monsters do when they’re bored? Write screenplays.

Population Control, go! Actually, war is a biological tactic. Basically it’s a means for widely divergent strains of human genes to reconnect, thereby refreshing otherwise possibly stagnant population pools.

that was the whole point of the Dune trilogy, right?

        I don’t know, I never read it. : )

Good for making Lucy Lawless sing silly songs in a leather bodice?

      You’re not wrong… but it’s not right…

boredom never lasts long. there is always
    something… people run around whining
the sky is falling the sky is falling but the
truth is, it’s been falling all along. we
will always have wars in our lifetime
    because evolution takes thousands of
years and we ain’t gonna live that long.

And I quote the age-old words: “Fighting for peace? That’s like screwing for virginity!!!”

I can’t be bothered to complain about war or even make a slightly amusing joke that isn’t amusing, you’re just cyber-laughing to be polite. Instead I’m going to make a stroppy teenager comment, back it up with some pms-fuelled fury and top it all off with some general angst.

Oh man, typing all that took too much effort, now I can’t be bother to make said stroppy comment. I’ll try.

    War? pah.

    There. I tried. Now shoo.

Seriously, or I’ll smack you upside the head…

    Dude. Being angry is FUN.

    1. Adam Identicon Icon Adam on 04.08.2008 at 22:52 (Reply)

It is indeed, especially when you’re angry for the right reasons.

Mix in some righteous indignance and you’ll go far.

Righteous indignance…I knew there was something else I wanted to put in my angry soup.

Haha, I just realised how much the last line of last comment makes me sound like my English teacher. Minus the “dude!” of course. He is creator of one of the best quote ever:
“I’ve never been sexist before..it’s really fun!”
All over a game of girls v boys pictionary.

And we won. ha. Just shows how you can still beat sexism.

I was expecting that the Democratic Presidential Primary would show whether modern-day Americans are more racist or sexist. Despite the results, judging by the rhetoric I’ve decided that they are probably more racist, but it was a close call.

Can’t you fight for peace when you didn’t start it? Or does peace only matter now and not in the future?

    3. beemoh Identicon Icon beemoh on 05.08.2008 at 22:32 (Reply)

I believe the correct response to that one is “If you can think of a better way to make more virgins, I’d like to hear it”. :D

i always feel really bad when i go back and comment on all the old comics i havent read for a week
who wants to get 10 emails filled with things ive said?
anyway, what i came here to say was, i had that song (did anyone say anything about the song?) stuck in my head a few days ago for no reason at all. you know, now that i think about it was probably around the day when this went up
this is a fun lyric to sing, i advise you do it all the time and as loudly as you can
