My wife and I had a fun moment last night. I was on the phone with Mum when I realized I was sweating… so I go to change the ‘stat, and she’s like “Naw! I’m freezing! Go put on some shorts!” So I just stripped then and there.

I love the capitalistic nature of resource prices.
The hike in energy drove up the price of steel.
The hike in steel drove up the price of energy.
The hike in energy drove up the price in steel.
It just keeps going, so feel free to copy and paste that last few lines till you are satisfied it is true.

The company I am working for is making massive amounts per ton coal compared to a year ago, but the price of the related infrastructure has gone up by almost the same amount and it is the same everywhere else.
One resource price goes up, they all follow.

I too once lived some where cold, with out heating.
It was cold. Ice on the insides of the windows. Ice on the ponds.
Some times I hate this damn country and it’s wildy varied weather.
Last place I lived regularly hits over 40 in summer and gets below -15 in winter.
Suffers droughts and then floods.

OK, a concept that should evolve… steampunk… hmmm…

Personally I’d be tempted to treat machines like living things… that is, draw them as if you are drawing a biological diagram, the cogs and circuitry illustrated like organs and structures…

…you could start off small, specialising in the components before constructing a ‘body’.

Either that… or you could look into the juxtaposition of new and old things. It’s a classic, thematically but rather depends on your environment.

We had quite a brutal stom going on all night, so unfortunately I missed it… still, I didn’t have to bathe a mammal covered in excrament either, so it works out about even.

That said I am very excited about the not-quite-full lunar eclipse we should be getting here on the 19th (I think, must remember to check)… with solar eclipses you really need to see totality, but lunar eclipses are far more fun with just a bit of light – what little light there is has to pass through the atmosphere, which in turn denotes the colour.

It’ll probably rain for that too.

SO did ya’ll watch the shower last night? I went out at about 2:30am -6GMT and saw 6 or 7 in the course of 20 or 30 minutes… it was neat… course it was also really cold and I was barefoot… and then the dog ate some funky leaves and literally rolled in sh*t… so I had to bathe the dog at 3AM!!! And then she vom……… :: deep breath :: I think I’ll leave the dog inside next time.

companies need to recoup the cost of their investment.
if they pay more for commodities like oil or water, they
have to charge you more. plain and simple. higher
prices slacken demand, which brings down the price
of oil and water, then companies can lower their prices
again. wait. wait. i’m sorry. they’ll have to *raise* prices
again otherwise their revenues will fall due to
fewer units being sold. ahh, capitalism. don’t you love it?

indeed i am, they keep calling it a ‘concept’ that has to ‘evolve’
so i’m pretty sure i can’t just choose ducks and get progressively better at drawing ducks

i was wondering if i could come up with something witty and eloquent to say on the subject so i could shoehorn in a request for a topic i have to make 12 art pieces on and send in hoping to get myself some early college credit. unfortunately, this was not to be.

most of our class is of the Aht-with-a-capital-A type, it makes me think the people making the decisions are too
