Self-watering blues

Self-watering blues

This should cheer you up – a good dose of British comedy, that is to say something a little disturbing too.

1. Chris Morris

OK, this isn’t a comedy, it’s a man, but one that spews forth dog-rancid comedy mucus. Possibly the darkest and funniest satire available. I’d highly recommend BrassEye to start with, and you should definitely check out the radio shows too.

2. The League of Gentlemen

It’s about as British as it gets. Avoid the film and concentrate on the series and Christmas special.

3. The Mighty Boosh

It’s televised liquid pantomime.

“I gotta go, actually, because you’re a freak,”
    and that’s a (bloody) complement.

oh man, boosh has gotten so flipping huge here
or maybe its just the cool people i know
i find that when they aren’t trying to be funny they are great, but when they do try they get lamer
that whole brit comedy scene (noel fielding, julian barratt, simon amstell, russell brand, etc) has some of my friends so obsessed!
