Watered down

My fatal flaw… one of them at any rate, is taking on massive projects within a limited timescale and still leaving all of the work until the last minute.

The older I get, the more I realise that this isn’t so much my flaw as it is a feature of humanity.

And so, this is dedicated to every school kid that leaves their homework until the night before (or even getting up extra early the day it is due), to every one who has put off paying bills, and to each soul inflicted with this peculiar curse.

I wrote my thesis the night before it was due…25 pages, and I had a month and a half to do it.
    I got a perfect score :)

I’ve never seen the habit result poorly.

top stuff… indeed, it does seem to produce some of the best work… unfiltered and stripped down because of time constraints.

      I wonder if there’s a way to test this…

If you don’t mind me asking, what was your thesis on? 25 pages in one sitting is rather impressive, there should be some sort of monument dedicated to that.

Now now Adam, you should know that real teenagers don’t need to get up early. They either do their homework on the bus, in breaktime or at the start of the lesson while the teacher takes the register. :D

I really hate teachers who are fast at taking attendance. :P

That’s not nearly as bad as teachers who just plain don’t take attendance.

I’m much more alert early in the morning than I am late at night. Also when I was in school I had a tendency to wake up ridiculously early for no apparent reason anyway, (honestly sometimes it was so I could watch cartoons) so why not use that time to do my homework (while watching cartoons).

I’m so glad I don’t have homework anymore, but now I’ve got bills and work. Thank goodness for automated bill pay and direct deposit though, otherwise things would get ugly. I guess that’s the real beauty of the modern world, some of the more mundane tasks don’t even require me to deal with them anymore. If only I could figure out some way to automate things so it looked like I was doing work.

Hehehe, all my best work is done in the last 24 hours before a deadline.

Actually… if you remove the word “best” from that statement it would still be true.

if it is bed time and i haven’t finished for whatever my deadline is… i just say f**k it. and leave it at that. no waking up early. I treasure my sleep.

That has been my attitude of late, but I don’t really like sleep so much.
