On another note, i just realized today that there has been new posts! so i am really excited about that. I’ve been wandering the internet aimlessly for far too long now. and after this post i got the flow back and some new ones! sweet.

And-unfortunately- the Obama administration will probably have to be in “emergency mode” for various reasons for the next two to four years. I joked to my grandfather that when Obama met Bush at the White House that Obama should have just punched Bush for creating this mess for him to clean up.

You could set up a PayPal donation site, and then take out free ads anywhere that’ll give them to you (Brandy’s mag, I’d bet you Adam would give you one if you asked real nice… etc.) for the site. Six thousand dollars is six thousand people giving you one dollar, or three thousand give you two, or twelve hundred giving you five. I’d donate a couple bucks to the cause — what’re friends for, eh?

Offer to mail handwritten thank-yous to anyone that gives more’n a dollar, maybe.

What sell-able skills do you have? Work form home schemes? Selling things on Etsy or something, maybe? You’ll think of something.

i’m currently waiting to see if an exchange group will agree to take me to japan with them this next summer. if they do take me, i’ll have to raise a bit over 6,000 dollars. that seems a little beyond the scope of an after school job and it’s impossible to get anywhere without a car anyway. any ideas?

In fact, Clinton and O have a lot of similarities, from an artistic perspective. That is to say that they both appeal to the liberal arts sector – both campaigns were supported by many artists, far more than the Reps were.

I wonder if we’ll see an increase in arts spending again – obviously post recession/depression – and a slightly more liberal attitude all round to what constitutes art. In the long run this might lead to some more challenging and interesting pieces.

I see that the new administration is going into emergency mode to undo those laws passed in the last days of the campaign, you know, the drilling, the abortion, the security… once passed, hard to undo. Oh and stem cell research, whilst we are at it, bring on the SCR.

The election was played out a bit heavily in the global media but there were two ways the story could end: America pulls out of its nosedive or America tries to take the rest of the world down with it. We’ve been doing the latter for the past eight years. We- and the countries we grab onto- would prefer not to go that route for another four years. We’d like to try the “pull out of nosedive” route now.

Obama has a huge expectation to live up to.

Oh and Voltron called, apparently someone took his coat home by accident yesterday and his mum says he needs to get it back.
